Digital Overhead Stirrer

An overhead stirrer is the best laboratory instrument used for mixing large volumes or high-viscosity substances, which can not be handled by a magnetic stirrer. The overhead stirrers came into existence in the early 18th century. With the passage of time and innovation in overhead stirrers’ technology, they transformed into digital overhead stirrers.  The overhead stirrer consists of a stand with a motor attached in the upper part of it. With the help of several switch controls, the motor works and generates a whirlpool in the liquid. The stirrer, also known as the anchor or blade, helps to mix viscous solutions easily within a couple of seconds.  Major Challange Faced  While experimenting, some liquid matter is used, which is essential to record observations. This liquid matter is often vicious, which cannot be mixed manually and consumed a lot of time. Thus, it needed a mixing instrument or stirrer, which could easily blend the solutions in less time.
The digital overhead stirrer manufactured by DAN Logitech Instruments Private Limited is user-friendly with an LED Display and brushless DC motor, ensuring the long life of the instrument.  Features
  • Digital Display
  • Durable
  • Easy to use
  • Clockwise and Anticlockwise Stirring
  • Reliable
  • Effective Stirring Shaft Extension
DAN Logitech manufactures two types of Digital Overhead Stirrers, as mentioned below:  1. Digital Overhead Stirrer (With Wi-Fi) - 6050T/6100T.DNEU  It is available with a Wi-Fi facility. One can remotely operate from other labs. You can connect more than one lab with the instrument and record observations while sitting in one place. This instrument is preferred when observations are to be recorded at the same time at different laboratories.  Technical Specifications
  • Power 130 W
  • Weight 11.4 kg
  • Maximum Viscosity up to 10000 mPass
  • Maximum Stirring up to 60 liters
  • Speed Ranging from 50 RPM to 3000 RPM
  • Time up to 99:59 minutes
  • Dimensions 90x240x220 mm
2. Digital Overhead Stirrer (Without Wi-Fi) - 6050/6100.DNEU  It does not have a Wi-Fi facility and is operated manually by the scientists in labs. This type of overhead stirrer is useful when the experiments are performed on a small scale.  Technical Specifications
  • Power 130 W
  • Weight 11.2 kg
  • Maximum Viscosity up to 10000 mPass
  • Maximum Stirring up to 60 liters
  • Speed Ranging from 50 RPM to 3000 RPM
  • Time up to 99:59 minutes
  • Dimensions 90x240x220 mm
Cleaning: Clean the Overhead Stirrer with a soft cloth dipped in a consistent lab detergent solution and warm water. Later, dry the instrument with a clean cloth.  Storage: Keep the Overhead Stirrer safely in the labs over the table. Cover them when not in use.  Precautions
  • Use the overhead stirrer on a wooden base.
  • Wear gloves and lab glasses while experimenting.
  • Switch off the instrument and cover it after use.
